Bangkok Forum

—Future Sustainable Asia—

The Bangkok Forum is an integrative knowledge platform, a new initiative launched in 2018 by Chulalongkorn University with the support from Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS). The Forum addresses an ultimate aspiration of “Future Sustainable Asia” by catalyzing dialogues, discussions and debate from multidisciplinary, cross-country, and cross-sectoral perspectives/approaches. The Forum aims to generate new ideas and explore means in transforming sustainability concepts into practice (and vice versa) at policy and other crucial levels of implementation and action. To fulfill its objectives, the Forum actively seeks meaningful engagements with civil society who can bring invaluable wisdom and empirical evidence from the ground, while maintaining the format and principle of an academic conference. Chulalongkorn University has a clear mission to serve for the public and the Bangkok Forum will build on its strength as Thailand’s leading higher learning institution with its vision to achieve academic excellence and active public engagements for regional collaboration.  By inviting partners from the national, regional and global levels, it aims to nurture the Forum into a lasting platform to facilitate enduring efforts towards creating sustainable Asia.
